Alvernia in Fifth Through Day One of AMCC Round Robin

Geneva, NY (Nov. 17, 2024) - Alvernia Women's Bowling went 1-3 on Saturday and sits in fifth place through the first day of competition at the AMCC Women's Bowling Round Robin One, hosted by William Smith College.

Alvernia picked up a win against Pitt-Greensburg to close out the first day of action, but Alvernia dropped its first three matches of the day with losses to PSU Behrend, Pitt Bradford, and William Smith.

Alvernia started its day with an 846-761 loss to PSU Behrend and dropped to 0-2 on the day with a narrow 793-780 loss to Bradford. The Golden Wolves then fell to the host Herons, 918-852, before picking up the 817-736 win over Pitt Greensburg. Alvernia posted four games of 160 or better in the five game match as the Golden Wolves in the third matchup with Greensburg in the past week.

Saint Vincent is in first place heading into day two action tomorrow after going 4-0 today. William Smith, Pitt Bradford, and PSU Behrend are in a three-way tie for second.

Bowling resumes Sunday morning to close out the first AMCC Round Robin of the year.
