Hahn Breaks 800m Record to Lead Alvernia at Big Apple Invite

New York, NY (Feb. 10, 2024) - Alvernia University Men's Track and Field was back in action on Saturday at the Big Apple Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Spencer Hahn led Alvernia with a new program record in the 800m with a four place finish and time of 1:56.01.

Alvernia had four top-15 finishes and nine personal records on Saturday.

Highlights

Hahn finished in fourth in the 800m with a program-record time of 1:56.01. He bettered a seven year old record held by Christian Mele by nearly two seconds.
Ethan Marcin took 7th place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.09.
Kameron Dove set a personal record in the high jump with a mark of 1.85 meters.
Alexander Witmer took 13th in the shot put with a mark of 13.85 meters.
Alvernia had a trio compete in the one mile run and all three set new personal records and season bests. Sam Martinez led the way with a 4:54.52.
