Mohnton, Pa (April 16, 2024) - Cassidy Miksich led Alvernia University to a third place finish at the Alvernia Spring Invitational Tuesday afternoon at LedgeRock Golf Club.

Miksich finished in a tie for second individually and led Alvernia to a third place finish. Alvernia finished behind Gettysburg (355) and Bloomsburg (362).

Miksich carded an 83 on Tuesday and carded six pars on the front nine but two bogeys and a double bogey at the par four fifth saw her post a four over 40 on the front. Miksich carded four pars on the back nine but again, bogeys and double bogeys saw her post a 43 on the back and finish with an 83 overall and ended in a tie for second place.

Katie Lapinsky recorded the third score for Alvernia and carded a 95. Lapinsky carded four pars on the front nine but big numbers and bogeys saw her post a 49 on the front nine. Lapinsky continued to struggle on the back nine with more bogeys and only carded two pars to post a 46 on the back and a 95 overall.

Grace Spielman recorded a 99 on the day and finished in 16th place. Spielman carded two pars on the front nine and recorded a 46 and posted a birdie on the par four 12th and carded a 53 for a 99 overall.
