Women's Bowling Finishes Seventh at AMCC Round Robin #2

Greensburg, Pa. (Feb. 10, 2025) - Alvernia University Women's Bowling finished seventh over the weekend at the AMCC Round Robin #2, hosted by University of Pitt - Greensburg.

After going 1-3 on Saturday, Alvernia closed out the second round robin of the year with a record of 1-6. After combining the results with the first AMCC Round Robin back in November, Alvernia finished seventh in conference standings with a combined record of 4-10.

Alvernia fell to Hilbert (845-729), Penn State Behrend (807-770), and Pitt Bradford (862-709) on Sunday.

The Golden Wolves had two individual bowlers finish in the top 20. Mia Siminitus finished in 12th with an average pinfall per game of 161.1, and Kaitlyn Knopp finished in 20th with an average of 153.1. 

As a team, Alvernia finished with an average of 147 pins per game and 735.1 pins per match.

Top six teams between the combined results of both round robins advanced to the AMCC Championship in March. Saint Vincent College went 13-1 to finish as the regular season champions.

Alvernia is back in action on February 14-16th at the DII/DIII Shootout at Wilmington University to close out the 2024-25 regular season.
