New Castle, Del. (Feb. 19, 2025) - Alvernia University Women's Bowling closed out the 2024-25 season over the weekend with a 12th place finish at the Wilmington University Wildcat DII/DIII Invitational.

The Golden Wolves went 1-9 in a combination of Baker and Traditional format matches on Friday and Saturday to earn a seed in the bracketed best of five format on Sunday. Alvernia's win on Saturday came against St. Thomas Aquinas in a 782-632 traditional win.

In the best of five bracket on Sunday, Alvernia opened the day with a 4-1 loss to Adelphi in the first round. The Golden Wolves took game one, 176-172, but Adelphi swept Alvernia in the final four games. The Golden Wolves then moved into the 11th place match with a 4-0 sweep of St. Thomas Aquinas in the second round, but Alvernia fell to Adelphi 4-1 in the positional round to close out the tournament.

Mia Siminitus led Alvernia with a 18.28 average across Friday and Saturday, ranking her 28th in the field. 

The Wilmington Shootout concluded the season for Alvernia.
