Greensboro, NC (June 19, 2025) - Alvernia University junior pitcher Chris Sasso earned All-Defensive honors, as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Thursday.

Sasso is one of 90 players - nine per ABCA's ten regions - across Division III to earn All-Defensive honors. He was selected as the pitcher for Region 5.

Sasso was a First Team All-MAC Commonwealth honoree. He finished the 2025 season with a 3.25 ERA across 52.2 innings pitched. Sasso recorded 61 strikeouts, allowed 39 hits, and just 19 earned runs this season. He held opposing batters to a .203 batting average. Sasso's ERA, opposing batting average, and hits allowed ranked him second in the MAC Commonwealth. This is his first All-Defensive selection.
