Golden Wolves Compete at Alvernia’s Winter Invitational

Reading, Pa. (January 17, 2026) - Alvernia University men's indoor track and field recorded multiple personal records at Alvernia's Winter Invitational on a snowy Saturday at Alvernia's Tom and Helen Flynn PLEX. 

Nine Golden Wolves recorded personal best marks or times on Saturday and Spencer Hahn recorded a team best fourth place finish in the 800m. 

How it Happened 
  • Aidan Arnold recorded two personal best marks in the shot put and the weight throw on Saturday. Arnold recorded a personal best mark of 12.45m in the weight throw and then posted a personal best mark of 11.14m in the weight throw. 
  • Grant Sharp also posted a personal best mark in the weight throw with a 13.23m mark that bested his previous PR by over a meter. That mark was also good enough to post a 16th place finish. Sharp also recorded a season best mark in the shot put with a 12.45m mark. 
  • Ryan Dennison tallied a personal best time in the 5,000m with a time of 16:37.82 which just bested his previous personal best of 16:38.39. Dennison finished in 16th place in the 5,000m. 
  • Spencer Hahn recorded a team best place finish with his fourth place finish in the 800m with a time of 1:59.80 in his first 800m of the indoor season. 
  • Quinn Harter posted a personal best mark in the long jump with a 5.48m mark. 
  • Justin Hartline recorded a personal best time in the 60m with a time of 7.8 and Andrew Simmons posted a season best time in the 60m dash with a time of 7.38. 
  • Ethan Marcin recorded a personal best time in the 200m with a time of 24.95 and Connor Perez recorded a personal best time in the 400m with a time of 56.05. 
  • Christian Medina notched a personal best mark in the weight throw with a 10.68m mark. 
  • Joel Thomas rounded out the Golden Wolves who recorded personal bests on Saturday with a 12.41m mark in the triple jump that bested his personal best and JT Timmons posted a seventh place finish in the high jump with a 1.8m mark, just 0.1m off his personal best.
