Alvernia Competes at NYU Invitational

New York, NY (Feb. 14, 2026) - Alvernia Women's Track and Field posted one top-ten finish and set four new personal-records on Saturday at the NYU Invitational, hosted at The Armory in New York City.

Mylina Castillo led Alvernia with an eighth place in the triple jump with a mark of 10.44 meters. Castillo's 10.44 meter attempt came on her first attempt of the day. On the track, Paige Jerrahian came just shy of a top-ten finish, taking 11th place in the 800m with a time of 2:24.98. Jerrahian's time was good for a new personal record by nearly two seconds.

The Golden Wolves had three additional new personal records set on Saturday, all on the track. Both Cassidy McClune and Julia Polaski set new PRs in the mile. McClune shaved 13 seconds off her previous PR with a new time of 7:14.42. Polaski took nearly 30 seconds off her previous PR with a new time of 6:58.48. Samantha Wallace rounded out Alvernia's new personal-records with a time of 29.13 seconds in the 200m.
 
Alvernia is back in action on Friday, February 20th at Kutztown for its final meet before the 2026 MAC Championship at Alvernia on February 27th and 28th.
