Timmons Leads Alvernia on Day One of 2026 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championship

Reading, Pa. (Feb. 27, 2026) - Alvernia Men's Track and Field first year JT Timmons led Alvernia on day one of the 2026 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championship at Alvernia's Tom and Helen Flynn PLEX with a podium finish on Friday.

Timmons took sixth place in the high jump with a personal-record mark of 1.91 meters to land on the podium. Timmons cleared 1.91 meters on his second attempt at that height. Andrew Leclair also competed in the high jump and took 19th on a mark of 1.68 meters.

Both Andrew Simmons and Ethan Marcin had 11th place finishes to lead Alvernia on the track. Simmons took 11th in the 60m with a personal-record mark of 7.13 seconds, and Marcin took 11th on a personal-record mark of 9.15 seconds in the 60m hurdles.

Alvernia will be back in action on Saturday for the second and final day of the 2026 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championship.
