Grantham, Pa. (April 11, 2026) - Alvernia Men's Track and Field posted six individual top-ten finishes on Friday and Saturday at the Messiah Invitational on the campus of Messiah University, the site of the 2026 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship later in May. 

Along with their six top-ten finishes, Alvernia also posted six new personal records on Saturday. 

Christian Medina was Alvernia's top finisher of the day, taking third in the field of 75 in the shot put with a mark of 14.72 meters. Medina also took tenth in the discus with a throw of 40.45 meters. JT Timmons took fifth in the high jump with a personal-record mark of 1.87 meters. Trip Freitag took sixth in the field of 60 throwers in the javelin with a mark of 54.64 meters. Freitag also posted a 13th place finish in the discus with a personal record throw of 40.12 meters.

On the track, Andrew Simmons took ninth in the field of 80 runners in the 100m with a time of 10.95 seconds. Ryan Dennison took tenth in the 5,000m with a PR time of 16:16.99 to round Alvernia's top ten finishes. 

William Dennison posted a pair of new personal records on the track for Alvernia. He set a new PR in the 100m with a time of 12.26 seconds, and in the 200m with a time of 25.79 seconds. Grant Sharp rounded out Alvernia's PRs in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.51 meters to take 19th place. 

The Golden Wolves are back in action on April 18 at the Moravian Coach P Invitational.
