Alvernia Takes Seven Top-Ten Finishes at Moravian

Bethlehem, Pa. (April 18, 2026) - Alvernia Men's Track and Field posted seven top ten-finishes and set ten new personal records on Saturday at the Moravian University Coach Pollard Invitational.

Trip Freitag led Alvernia with a second place finish in the javelin. Freitag recorded a mark of 59.47 meters to set a new personal record and new program record in the javelin, bettering the previous record by nearly a meter and a half. Freitag also set a new PR in the discus with a mark of 42.44 meters to take tenth place.

Medina also broke his own program record in the discus with a mark of 43.83 meters to take seventh place. Medina also took sixth place in the shot put with a mark of 14.68 meters. Joel Thomas took eighth in the triple jump with a personal-record mark of 13.33 meters.

On the track, Spencer Hahn took a tenth place finish in the 1500m with a season-best time of 4:05.11. Alvernia's 4x100m relay team of Joseph Washington, Justin Hartline, Heriberto Camacho, and Andrew Simmons took tenth with a season-best time of 44.13 seconds.

Alvernia picked up a trio of personal records in the 200m. Camacho finished in 23.02, Ethan Marcin in 23.60, and Dennis finished in 25.47 seconds. Sam Martinez also set a pair of new personal records for Alvernia. Martinez took 22nd in the 1500m with a time of 4:16.10 to shave three seconds off his prior PR. He also set a new PR by two seconds in the 800m with a time of 2:07.95. Connor Perez rounded out Alvernia's personal-records on Saturday with a time of 58.27 seconds in the 400m hurdles to take 13th place.

The Golden Wolves are back in action on Friday and Saturday at Shippensburg University for the Paul Kaiser Classic.
