Kim Leads Golden Wolves on Day One of the Berkleigh Challenge

Kutztown, Pa. (September 11, 2026) - Alvernia University's Allen Kim carded an even par round of 72 on Friday afternoon to pace the Golden Wolves on day one of the Berkleigh Challenge hosted by Albright College at Berkleigh Golf Club. 

Alvernia's Maroon team of Allen Kim, Quinlan Hood, Zachary Neuin, Chase Smith and Brody Calle posted a day one score of 308 and are in place. The Gold team, made up of Matthew Overholt, Zhan Medina, Colby Seislove, Chase Carr and Matthew Gagliardi tallied a team score of 322 and is in seventh place after day one. 

The Golden Wolves are four shots back of second place Hood College (304) and are six shots behind the leaders, Albright College (302) after day one. 

Kim carded two bogeys on the front nine but birdied the eighth to card a one over 37 on the front nine. Kim then recorded four straight pars on the back nine before a bogey at the 14th. Kim bounced back with pars at 15 and 17 and birdies on 16 and 18 to card a one under 35 and get back to even par on the day and is currently in a tie for third place. 

Quinlan Hood carded a six over round of 78 on day one and posted a two over 37 on the front nine after three bogeys, one birdie and five pars. Hood then carded a 41 on the back nine en route to the 78 and is in a tie for 12th place. 

Zachary Neuin and Chase Smith both carded day one scores of 79. Neuin carded a three over 38 on the front nine before posting a 41 on the back nine en route to the 79. Smith posted a four over 39 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine to card a 79. Both Neuin and Smith are tied for 15th. 

Brody Calle rounded out the scores for the Alvernia Maroon team and carded a round of 80. Calle posted a 38 on the front nine but then carded a 42 on the back nine to post the round of 80 and is currently in a tie for 20th. 

Matthew Overholt carded a round one score of 78 to lead the Alvernia Gold team and posted a 37 on the front nine but posted a 41 on the back en route to the 78. Overholt is currently in a tie for 12th place. 

Zhan Medina posted a round of 79 on Friday and is in a tie for 15th place. Medina recorded a 38 on the front nine but saw bogeys plague his back nine as he carded a 41 en route to the 79. 

Colby Seislove recorded a nine over 81 on Friday after shooting a 40 on the front nine and a 41 on the back and is currently in a tie for 27th place. 

Chase Carr and Matthew Gagliardi rounded out the scores for the Golden Wolves with Carr posting a score of 84 and Gagliardi carded an 85. Carr is tied for 42nd place and Gagliardi is in a tie for 50th place. 

The Golden Wolves are back in action tomorrow for day two of the Berkleigh Challenge as they look to climb the team leaderboard as they sit just four shots back of second place Hood College and six shots back of the leaders, Albright.
