Novak Nets A Pair For Alvernia

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (Apr. 14, 2008) – King's College notched a 22-2 win over Alvernia College Monday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at King's.

Alvernia senior Tom Novak (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) scored the opening goal of the game assisted by fellow senior Martin Novia (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville), but King's answered with seven of it's own to close the first quarter and four more in the second quarter for an 11-1 lead at the break.

Novak added his second goal of the game in the fourth quarter. Alvernia freshman Joe Cepparulo (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood) made five saves in 45 minutes and Ryan Richard (Frankford, Del./Sussex Tech) played the final 15 minutes.

Alvernia will return to conference action hosting Eastern University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
