Christian Wright earned honorable mention All-MAC Commonwealth honors as a defenseman for his performance during the 2026 season, as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference on Thursday.
Wright played and started in all 16 games for the Golden Wolves during his senior campaign. He finished the season with 32 caused turnovers and picked up 79 ground balls. Wright's 79 ground balls ranked seventh in the MAC Commonwealth, and his 32 caused turnovers and 2.00 caused turnovers per game were both the second highest in the Commonwealth. Wright recorded at least one caused turnover in all 16 games in 2026, and tallied two or more in 12 of the 16 games. Wright also eclipsed the 100 career turnover mark with a two turnover performance against Stevenson, and caused a season high three turnovers against McDaniel, Wilkes, Lebanon Valley, and Messiah. Wright also picked up 4.94 ground balls per game, which ranked him eighth in the Commonwealth, and he tallied a season-high ten ground ball pickups against Albright. This is Wright's third All-MAC Commonwealth honor of his career.
York College picked up six of the seven "Of The Year" honors with Davis Fisher earning Attackman of the Year honors, Cory Bergmann was named Midfielder of the Year, Jeff Mueller was named Defenseman of the Year, Erik Pearl was named Specialist of the Year, Ryan Hudson was named the Rookie of the Year and head coach Brandon Childs was named Coach of the Year. Messiah's Jourdain Algarin was named Goalie of the Year.
