Novak Leads Crusaders With Three Goals, Three Assists

Reading, Pa. (Apr. 7, 2008) – DeSales University scored the first eight goals of the game and played even up from there in a 17-9 win over Alvernia College Monday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Schlager Memorial Field.

Alvernia College senior Tom Novak (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) led the Crusaders (1-7) with three goals and three assists. Freshman Jeff Bohler (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) and sophomore Chris Baker (Exeter, Pa./Exeter) scored two goals apiece for the hosts.

Alvernia freshman Matt Boulton (Broadlands, Va./Briar Woods) made seven saves in net for the Crusaders and Ryan Richard (Frankford, Del./Sussex Tech) saved three. DSU used three different goalies who combined for 13 saves.

Alvernia will start a stretch of three straight road games starting Wednesday at conference foe Marywood University.
