Ben Stidham (Glen Burnie, Md./Cardinal Gibbons) scored two goals apiece.
The first quarter of play featured nearly half of the total goals with Centenary taking a 5-3 lead after 15 minutes of play. Alvernia trimmed the gap to one by halftime as Stidham and Bakes both scored in the second quarter for a 6-5 score at the break.
Centenary scored the only goal of the third quarter, but Alvernia senior
Tom Novak (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) answered in the first 30 seconds of the fourth to pull back within one. The Cyclones tallied twice in the next five minutes for a three goal lead, 9-6, and Baker and Bakes both scored for Alvernia to pull back within one, but the Crusaders could not complete the comeback.
