St. Davids, Pa. (Apr. 25, 2009) - Eastern University (7-7, 5-5) scored at least four goals in each quarter en route to a 20-5 win over Alvernia University (3-13, 0-10) Saturday afternoon in Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference men's lacrosse action at Eastern.

The Eagles took a 6-0 lead after the first quarter and Alvernia matched them goal for goal in the second with both teams netting four goals.  In the quarter Alvernia got a goal each from Dan Hoffstetter (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh), Tom Casper (Milwaukee, Wisc./Marquette), Tim Marcinek (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle), and Louis Vetrano (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach).

Eastern scored five times in the third quarter for a 15-4 lead with a quarter to play.  Alvernia got its final goal of the day from Benjamin Stidham (Glen Burnie, Md./Cardinal Gibbons) just over a minute into the fourth quarter.

Alvernia wraps up the season at 3-10.
