Grantham, Pa. (Apr. 8, 2009) - Messiah College (6-5, 4-3) scored 11 goals in the first quarter and cruised to a 22-0 win over Alvernia University (2-9, 0-6) Wednesday night in Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference men's lacrosse action at Anderson Field.

The Falcons added a pair of tallies in the second quarter for a 13-0 lead at the break, scored eight times in the third quarter and added a final notch in the fourth.  Alvernia held some of the offensive balance in the fourth quarter getting six of its 11 shots through on the Messiah net-minder, but the Crusaders were turned away each time.

Alvernia is off for the Easter break and will return for another night game next Tuesday at FDU-Florham.
