Grantham, Pa. (April 27, 2010) - Alvernia University (10-5, 6-5) jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but Messiah College (12-3, 10-1) stormed back with 13 straight goals and cruised to a 22-8 win Tuesday afternoon in Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action at Messiah.

Sam Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) and Felicia Sippel (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) both scored a pair of goals to lead Alvernia.  Vicky Kearn (Merrick, N.Y./Sanford H. Calhoun) made nine saves for the Crusaders and Jenn Czarnecki (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) stopped six.

The Crusaders complete the regular season schedule Saturday at Misericordia.
