Reading, Pa. (May 1, 2010) - Tom Casper (Milwaukee, Wisc./Marquette) and Dan Hoffstetter (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) scored three goals apiece for Alvernia University (4-13, 1-10) in a 14-11 loss to Misericordia University (4-12, 2-9) Saturday afternoon at Schlager Memorial Field.

Alvernia stormed out of the gate with five goals in the first quarter and led 5-2 after 15 minutes of play, but the Cougars scored four goals in each of the final three quarters while the Crusaders could only muster six total.

Kevin Shupp (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) made 13 saves for the Crusaders while the Cougars split time in net and combined for eight.

Alvernia finishes the 2010 season with a 4-13 overall record.
