Yonkers, N.Y. (Mar. 16, 2011) - Mt. St. Vincent (1-2) scored at least a goal in every quarter for an 8-2 decision over Alvernia University (2-2) Wednesday evening in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Mt. St. Vincent.

The Dolphins pushed ahead with three goals in the first five minutes, but the Crusaders came back with two goals from Sean Boyd (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South) for a 3-2 score after one.  MSV scored a pair in the second for a 5-2 lead at the break, added one in the third and closed with two more goals in the fourth quarter for the 8-2 final.

Alvernia junior Kevin Shupp (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) made 15 saves in net for the Crusaders.  The Dolphins split time between two goalies who combined to stop 11 shots.

Alvernia travels to Centenary College next Monday before opening the conference schedule next Wednesday hosting Lebanon Valley College.
