St. Davids, Pa. (Apr. 26, 2011) - The Crusader (2-13, 0-10 MAC) Men's Lacrosse team fell at Eastern University (9-5, 8-2 MAC) by a score of 20-1 this afternoon in conference action.  Alvernia managed a goal in the first quarter but was shut out the rest of the way.

The Eagles jumped ahead early, putting up five goals in the first quarter before Alvernia countered with a goal at 1:58 from Sean Boyd (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South).  This was the last time Alvernia found the back of the net as they were shu out through the three remaining quarters.  The Eagles netted seven goals in the second and four more in both the third and fourth quarters.  Alvernia goalie Kevin Shupp (Cranford, NJ/Cranford) tallied 16 saves on the day.

Alvernia returns to action on Apr. 30th as they take on Widener at home in conference action at 1:00pm.
