Reading, Pa. (Apr. 10, 2012) - Widener University (3-7, 1-1) jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first quarter en route to a 15-0 win over Alvernia University (5-6, 0-1) Tuesday evening in Commonwealth Conference men's lacrosse action at Schlager Memorial Field.

The Pride netted two more in the second, three in the third, and four goals in the fourth.  Four different players scored a team-best two goals apiece.

Alvernia senior Kevin Shupp (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) made 16 saves in net for the Crusaders.

Alvernia returns to action Saturday at Lebanon Valley College.
