Bainbridge Scores Four For Crusaders

BOX SCORE BOX SCORE

Reading, Pa. (Apr. 14, 2012) - Lebanon Valley College (7-5, 2-1) ran off a string of five straight second half goals and scored 10 in all after halftime for an 18-12 win over Alvernia University (7-5, 1-1) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's lacrosse action at Schlager Memorial Field.

Both offenses seemd cautious and somewhat inefficient in the first half with the Dutchmen getting five goals from Hana Krechel in the first half en route to an 8-4 lead.  Four different players scored for the Crusaders.

Alvernia seemed inspired early in the second half scoring three of the first four goals to pull within two goals at 9-7, but Krechel--who finished with a school-record nine goals--scored on a man-advantage as the first of two for the guests.

Alvernia came back with two, but LVC answered with another pair.  Alvernia junior Alli Bainbridge (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) scored back-to-back to again pull the Crusaders within two, but the Dutchmen seemed to capitalize on every offensive threat and answered with five straight to put the game out of reach.

Bainbridge finished with four goals to lead the Crusaders.

Alvernia is back in action Wednesday at Elizabethtown College.
