George Scores Four, Pulls Within Six Of School Record

Reading, Pa. (Apr. 24, 2012) - Alvernia University (8-7, 2-3) scored nine goals in the opening 10 minutes and jumped out to a 13-0 lead on its way to a 17-4 win over Albright College (7-6, 1-4) Tuesday evening in Commonweatlh Conference women's lacrosse action at Schlager Memorial Field.

Senior attack Sarah George (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) scored the first two goals of the game in the opening 90 seconds and finished with four moving her to 198 for her career within six goals of becoming the all-time leader in goals at Alvernia.

Erin Wunsch (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) and Hillary Prozillo (Swedesboro, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep) both scored their first career goal during the game.

Jen Czarnecki (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) played the full 60 in net for the Crusaders and finished with 11 saves.

Alvernia will finish the regular season at Lycoming this Saturday.  The Crusaders would be in the Commonwealth playoffs as the #4 seed with a win.
