Consistency Carries Lebanon Valley Past Alvernia

Weaver Saves 27 For Crusaders

Reading, Pa. (Apr. 17, 2013) - Sophomore goalie Brandon Weaver (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) made a career-high 27 saves Wednesday afternoon, but Lebanon Valley (7-4, 2-2) netted 19 goals in a 19-5 win over Alvernia University (5-10, 1-5) in Commonwealth Conference men's lacrosse action at Schlager Memorial Field.

The Dutchmen scored fives goals each in the first, second, and third quarters then notched four in the fourth.

Weaver made 19 of his 27 saves in the first half including some point-blank denials.  The Alvernia offense broke through twice in the second and twice in the fourth and had one goal in the third.  Jared Toll (St. Catherine's, Ontario/Lewisburg Area) led the way for the Crusaders with two goals.

Alvernia continues the conference schedule at Elizabethtown next Tuesday and wraps up the regular season next Saturday hosting Messiah College.
