Elizabethtown, Pa. (April 23, 2013) - Alvernia (5-11, 1-6) fell to host Elizabethtown (8-5, 3-4) Tuesday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference action.  The Blue Jays jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the first quarter, before the Crusaders outscored them 2-1 in the second quarter.  E-Town rallied to post nine goals in the second half to Alvernia's five for the 15-9 victory.

The Crusaders got hat tricks from Colin Gallagher (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) and Jared Toll (St. Catherine's, Ontario/Lewisburg Area) and single goals from three others.  Gallgher's goal in the second quarter at 11:40 made it a one-goal game, just 5-4 in favor of the Blue Jays, but E-Town answered with the next six goals to put the game away.

Brandon Weaver (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) played all 60 minutes in goal for Alvernia and tallied 12 saves.

Alvernia wraps up their 2013 campaign when they host Messiah for senior day on Sat. April 27th.
