Grantham, Pa. (Apr. 27, 2013) - Messiah College (10-6, 7-1) used a 15-goal first half to build a comfortable lead on its way to an 18-4 win over Alvernia University (6-8-1, 3-4) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's lacrosse action at Messiah.

The Falcons scored five of the first six goals of the game then put together a streak of seven straight and led 15-3 at the halftime break.

Alvernia got a team-high three goals from Candice Knight (Darlington, Md./Havre De Grace). 

The Crusaders wrap up the season at 6-8-1 and miss the Commonwealth Championships losing a 3-way tiebreaker to Widener.
