Strong Second Quarter Carries Albright Past Alvernia, 21-4

Toll Scores A Pair For Crusaders

Reading, Pa. (Apr. 3, 2013) - Albright College (8-1, 2-0) scored 11 goals in the second quarter on its way to a 21-4 win over Alvernia University (4-7, 0-2) Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference men's lacrosse action at Schlager Memorial Field.

The Lions built a 4-0 lead after the first quarter then jumped to a 15-0 lead at the half.  Alvernia scored once in the third quarter on a goal by Paul Tarnacki (Howell, N.J./Howell) and added three in the fourth, one by Brian Ray (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) and a pair from Jared Toll (St. Catherines, Ontario/Lewisburg Area).

Brandon Weaver (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) made 14 saves in net for the Crusaders.

Alvernia returns to action Saturday when it hosts Stevenson University.
