Shared Offensive Leads Alvernia Past Hood, 16-1

Strange Leads The Way With Three

Frederick, Md. (Apr. 12, 2014) - Eleven different players registered at least one goal and Alvernia University (9-5, 3-2) defeated Hood College (5-6, 0-5) by a 16-1 final Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's lacrosse action at Hood.

Junior Jacquelyn Strange (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock) led the way with three goals for the Crusaders.

Alvernia scored the first nine goals of the game and had a 10-1 lead at halftime.  The Crusaders scored six more in the second without giving up a goal.

Colleen Reilly (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) made four saves in the win.

Alvernia continues the season Tuesday at Albright.
