Lebanon Valley Earns 13-10 Win At Alvernia

Reading, Pa. (Apr. 2, 2014) - Lebanon Valley College (10-2, 4-0) scored five of the game's final six goals to earn a 13-10, come-from-behind win over Alvernia University (7-4, 2-1) Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's lacrose action at Alvernia.

The Crusaders put together a 5-goal run in the first half and held a 7-5 lead at the break.  They broke an 8-all tie on a goal from Katie Ensulo (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) with 11:32 left to play, but LVC answered with four straight for a 12-9 lead with just under five minutes to play.

Alvernia got one back when Jacquelyn Strange (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) scored her team-best fourth of the game with 1:46 to go, but LVC won the ensuing draw on a violation and scored the game's final goal with 25 seconds left.

Brooke Campione (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) scored three goals--all in the first half.  Colleen Reilly (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) made eight saves in net for the Crusaders.

Alvernia ended a 7-game winning streak and looks to get back on track against Stevenson on Saturday.
