Reading, Pa. (Apr. 9, 2014) - Alvernia University (8-5) scored 13 goals in the first half on its way to a 19-5 win over Gwynedd-Mercy College (6-7) Wednesday evening in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Alvernia.

The Crusaders got 3-goal games from Julie Sutton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview) and Abby McCarthy (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) and saw 12 different players score at least one goal each.

Colleen Reilly (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) made six saves in net for the win.

The Crusaders hit the road for a Commonwealth Conference game at Hood this Saturday.
