Scott Dressler's four point offensive explosion lead Alvernia University (2-3-2) to a 4-2 victory over DVCHC conference foe PSU Brandywine (0-3) Friday evening on the road.
The win ends a two game conference losing streak to start the season.

The Vern tallied the first two goals of the game as senior
Nico Delgiorno buried his first of the night late in the opening period and senior
Brian Callahan fired home a lamp lighter early in the second. The second line combination of Delgiorno, Callahan and Dressler accounted for goals on the evening.
The Crusaders were challenged by the Lions, surrendering two late goals in the final period.
Dressler broke the third period 2-2 tie, redirecting freshman defenseman Matt Klosinki's shot from the point and giving the Crusaders the 3-2 advantage. The captain's game winner was just part of his offensive attack, as he factored in on all the scoring collecting three assists.
Nico Delgiorno added insurance with an empty netter with only seven seconds remaining for his second goal of the evening. Callahan shared a balanced night with a goal along with one helper. Senior Brett Fernandes also picked up an assist rounding off the Crusader score sheet.

James Bangar was in the pipes for the victory, recording his first win of the season. Bangar faced 28 shots, while the Vern offense managed 38 shots on the home team's netminder.
