BOX SCORE Reading, Pa. (Oct. 9, 2016) - Senior Robert Kohler and freshman Zach Vendetti score two goals apiece to help lead Alvernia University (1-6) to a 5-0 victory over East Stroudsburg University   (0-4) Sunday afternoon at the Body Zone.

Alvernia was faced with some trouble early in the first period getting a few penalties called on them giving the Warriors of multiple power play advantages, including a 5 on 3. The Crusader defense shut down all attempts for the Warriors to score to keep the game scoreless. Kohler scored his first goal late in the first period to give a 1-0 lead going into the second period.

Alvernia add two goals in each the second and third periods to help secure the win. Dane Beilhart had a goal and an assist while Colin Wall handed out two assists. Sophomore goalie Justin Gueveraz had a great day in net with 21 saves.

Alvernia stays at home to face Bryn Athyn next Sunday at 4:00 pm.
