BOX SCORE Swarthmore, Pa. (Mar. 16, 2016) - Swarthmore College (2-2) defeated Alvernia University (2-0) by a 14-4 final Wednesday evening in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Swarthmore. 

The Garnet scored eight times in the first half en route to the win.

The Crusaders posted two goals per half. Abby McCarthy netted two goals for Alvernia, advancing her total for the season to 13. 

Julie Sutton and Alyson Keene each notched a goal, while Tequila Donnelly collected her third assist of the year. 

Colleen Reilly recorded eleven saves in goal for Alvernia.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday for their third consecutive road game as they face Manhattanville in nonconference play at 1:00 pm.
