Collegeville, Pa. (Nov. 13, 2022) - Alvernia University Women's Wrestling competed at the Ursinus Women's Wrestling Scramble on Sunday along with Delaware Valley University and Cedar Crest College.
Gianna Faura opened the day with a 10-0 tech fall over Delaware Valley's Caria Jaynes at 170/191. Faura ended up going undefeated on the afternoon, recording a pin in 2:35 over Cedar Crest, and a 12-0 tech fall over Ursinus.
Andrea Wilmoth went 1-0 on the day with a 1:15 pin over Delaware Valley's Makenna Cooper at 170.
After being pinned in her first bout,
Taylor Bloom went 1-1 on the day with a 13-2 technical fall over Cedar Crest's Adriana Dias at 109.Â
Mia Bumbarger went 2-0 on her day with a 19 second fall over Delaware Valley's Gigi Lee, and an 11-0 technical fall over Cedar Crests' Drayton Charmin.
Kathryn Berger went 0-2 after being pinned twice, and
Makayla Marreo-Mogel went 0-1 on the day after a pin in her only bout. Navaeh Blevins did not compete today for the Golden Wolves.Â
Alvernia has a few weeks off before heading to the Gannon University Invitational on Sunday, December 4.Â
