Personal Records Fall at Shippensburg

Shippensburg, Pa. (April 29, 2023) - Alvernia University Men's Track and Field broke 14 personal records during competition at the Paul Keiser Invitational on Saturday at Shippensburg University.

William Dennis got the personal records started with a PR in the 100m with a time of 13.18 seconds. Kevin Kazokas kept it rolling with a PR in the 200m with a time of 24.18 seconds.

James Henry and Younes Naimi both posted personal records in the 800m. Henry posted a time of 2:02.27 and Naimi posted a time of 2:10.40.

In the 1,500m, each of Alvernia's three competitors posted personal records. Emmanuel Rodriguez Jr, ran the 1,500m in 4:08.39, Anthony Roselli went 4:11.57, and Zackary Wendel went 4:12.01.

In the 400m hurdles, Brandon VanSchaick set a new school and personal record with a time of 56.78 seconds. Adam Loehr also posted a PR with a time of 57.96 seconds.

In the field, Giancarlo Gordiany set a new PR with a mark of 5.97m. Giovanni River Jusino and Aidan Chumas both posted PRs in the shot put with marks of 10.83m and 9.00m, respectively. Chumas rounded out the PRs with his second of the day in javelin with a mark of 38.29m.

Alvernia is back in action on Thursday for the start of the MAC Championship.
