Alvernia Men's Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

Reading, Pa. (July 6, 2023) - Alvernia University Men's Soccer released its 2023 schedule today, with the 2023 season set to begin on September 1st.

The 2023 Alvernia season gets underway on Friday, September 1st as Alvernia hosts Penn State Harrisburg at 5:00 PM. Alvernia tied with the Lions on the road last year to open the 2022 season. Alvernia remains at home on Monday, September 4th as the Golden Wolves welcome the University of Rochester to Reading.

After a quick trip to Lancaster Bible College on September 6th, Alvernia returns home from back-to-back home games with Penn State Berks and Elizabethtown. Alvernia's contest with Elizabethtown on September 13th marks the annual Kicks for Cancer game between the Golden Wolves and Blue Jays.

The Golden Wolves then kick off a four game road trip that gets underway on Saturday, September 16th at SUNY Cortland. Alvernia then makes stops at Montclair State and Cabrini before heading to Stevenson on September 30th to open up its MAC Commonwealth schedule.

Alvernia is back at home on October 2nd with a game against Franklin and Marshall. Alvernia then hosts Arcadia on October 4th before getting back into MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday, October 7 at Eastern.

Alvernia then hosts Lebanon Valley College on Tuesday, October 10th in the first non-conference matchup with the Dutchmen in over a decade as Lebanon Valley moves to the MAC Freedom starting this season.

The Golden Wolves then host York College on Friday, October 13 as the first game of a full slate of home action for Alvernia as part of Homecoming and Family Weekend.

Alvernia is then on the road at Albright and Messiah before returning home for its final two games of the regular season. The Golden Wolves will host Hood on Tuesday, October 24th and conclude the regular season hosting Widener at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 28th.
