Alvernia, which dropped a match on Friday, had to win twice on Saturday to advance to finals and the Golden Wolves came through. Alvernia defeated #5 NJCU by a 2-0 decision in the mega-match format to advance to take on Saint Vincent in the fourth round of the championship. Alvernia then defeated the top-seeded Bearcats 2-0 to secure a trip to the finals on Sunday.

The Golden Wolves started Saturday with an elimination match against NJCU. The Golden Wolves got off to a quick start and took a 1-0 lead in the match with a 965-840 win over the Gothic Knights in the traditional team match portion of the mega-match. Emily Huntley led the way in the traditional match with a 223 and Reaghan Smith posted a 205. Alvernia then eliminated NJCU with an 846-804 win in the Baker Style game to take the match, 2-0.

Alvernia then moved on to face #1 Saint Vincent in another elimination game and the Golden Wolves again got out to a fast start with a 971-923 win over the Bearcats in the traditional format to take an early 1-0 match lead. Morgan DuPont led Alvernia with a 235 and Frankie Kelly posted a 224. Alvernia then nearly defeated the Bearcats by 100 pins in the Baker game, downing Saint Vincent 987-891 to eliminate the Bearcats as Alvernia secured a trip to the finals.

Alvernia will face #2 William Smith for the championship. William Smith defeated Alvernia 3-2 on Friday, so Alvernia will need to beat the undefeated Herons twice in the double elimination format championship.
