Boreman Leads Golden Wolves to Team Title

Hershey, Pa (September 10, 2024) - McKylie Boreman took home low medalist honors to lead Alvernia University to the team title with a team score of 313 at the Elizabethtown College Invitational Tuesday afternoon at Hershey Country Club on the East Course. 

Boreman fired in a low round of 73 en route to the individual title, Emmerson Bartley recorded a 75 in her Alvernia debut, Katie Lapinsky posted an 82 and Cassidy Miksich rounded out the counting scores for the Golden Wolves with an 83. 

Boreman started her day on par five 14th, she recorded four pars and one bogey in her first five holes as she made the turn to #1. She went bogey, bogey on one and two before ripping off six pars and a birdie to record a one over, 37 on the front nine. She then tallied a bogey, two pars and a birdie on her final four holes to post a one over 36 on the back nine and a two over, 73 overall. 

Bartley started her day on number 15 and recorded two pars and a bogey on her first three holes. She then recorded seven pars, a birdie and a bogey on the front nine to post an even par, 36. Bartley then doubled the tenth but bounced back with a par and a birdie before posting a four over, 39 on the back nine and a four over 75 overall. 

Lapinsky started on the 12th hole and three pars and four bogeys on the back nine before making the turn to #1. Bogeys then plagued her front nine which saw her record a 42 on the front nine and then a 40 on the back to finish with an 82 overall. 

Miksich rounded out the counting scores for the Golden Wolves with an 83. Miksich started on the 14th hole and recorded a bogey, double and two pars in her first four holes. Miksich then four bogeys and five pars on the front nine to post a four over 40. She then carded a few bogeys at the end of her round to post a 43 on the back nine and a 83 overall. 

Rylee Stenzel and Grace Spielman rounded out the scoring for Alvernia with Stenzel recording a 94 and Spielman posting a 95. Stenzel tallied a 52 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine to record a 94. Spielman tallied a 45 on the front nine and a 50 on the back to shoot 95. 

The Golden Wolves are back in action next Monday when they travel to California University of Pennsylvania for a two day event on Monday and Tuesday.
