Reading, Pa. (Oct. 13, 2025) - Alvernia Men's Soccer graduate student Evan Solley and Women's Cross Country junior Ashley McClintock were named the Alvernia Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of October 6 - October 12, 2025. This week's Alvernia Athletes of the Week are presented by MailShark.

Evan Solley recorded 15 saves and allowed just two goals in a 0-0-2 week for the Golden Wolves. In a 1-1 tie against #18 Rowan, Sollley recorded a career-high 14 saves and allowed just one goal as the Profs fired off 37 total shots. In a 1-1 tie against York on Saturday, Solley added one more save to his total on the week as Alvernia allowed just two total shots on goal.

Ashley McClintock took first place in the Delaware Valley Green and Gold Invitational on Saturday. McClintock ran the 6K course in a time of 25:30.15. McClintock used an opening 2K split of 8:18.2 to take the early lead and held first through the 4K and 5K splits and into the finish line. Her first place comes at the site of November's MAC Championship Race. 

Men's Soccer is back in action on Wednesday with a non-conference matchup at Stevens. Women's Cross Country is back in action on Saturday at Gettysburg for the Aubrey Shenk Invitational.
