Alvernia Competes at Final Home Meet

Reading, Pa. (Feb. 1, 2025) - Alvernia University Men's Track and Field posted six top-eight finishes and seven new personal records on Saturday at home as the Golden Wolves took on the PLEX Shootout at the Alvernia Tom and Helen Flynn PLEX.

Alvernia's 4x200m relay team were the top finishers on Saturday, taking first place in the field of 13 participating relay teams. Alvernia's 4x200m relay team consisted of Luke St. Pierre, Anthony Downs, Leo Tirado, and Caleb Auzenne.

Spencer Hahn took fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:00.68 and he also took sixth in the one mile with a time of 4:35.76. Andrew LeClair also had a top-eight finish for Alvernia, taking sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.92m.

Brandon VanSchaick and Zackary Wendel rounded out Alvernia's top-eight finishes on Saturday. VanSchaick took seventh in the 60m hurdles with a new personal-record time of 9.00. Wendel took seventh in the one mile with a new personal-record time of 4:36.71.

William Dennis (28.14 seconds, 200m and 8.2 seconds, 60m), Ryan Dennison (16:53.62, 5,000m), Ethan Marcin (9.46 seconds, 60m hurdles), Timothy Van Klingeren (10.31m, shot put) also posted personal-records for Alvernia on Saturday.

Alvernia is back in action on Friday night at the Susquehanna Riverhawk Showdown.
