Golden Wolves Grab Team Title at Bloomsburg’s Husky Invitational

Danville, Pa (April 17, 2025) - Three Golden Wolves recorded top ten finishes to lead Alvernia University its third first place finish in the spring at Bloomsburg's Husky Invitational Thursday afternoon at Frosty Valley Golf Club.

The Golden Wolves posted a team score of 342 to secure the victory and the win marks the tenth victory of the year for Alvernia and the third of the spring. Katie Lapinsky recorded a third place finish to lead the Golden Wolves, McKylie Boreman finished in sixth place and Emmerson Bartley recorded a seventh place finish.

How it Happened
  • Katie Lapinsky started her round on the par four 7th and carded three straight bogeys on seven, eight and nine. Lapinsky then headed to the back nine, she bogeyed the tough par four tenth but then ripped off five pars in the next six holes and also a birdie at the dogleg right 17th. Lapinksy would post a double bogey at the 18th but still was able to card a three over 40 on the back nine. Lapinksy carded three pars and a birdie on the par four sixth hole but bogeys on one and four saw her finish with a 40 on the front nine and card an 80 on the day and a third place finish.
  • McKylie Boreman started her round on the tough, uphill par three eighth and got things going with an opening birdie. Boreman then dropped down after two big numbers on nine and 12 and a bogey at the par five 11th but righted the ship with five pars in her next six holes to card a 42 on the back nine. Boreman saw two big numbers and a bogey derail her front nine but ended her round with three straight pars to right the ship and post a 42 on the front nine and an 84 on the day to finish in sixth place.
  • Emmerson Bartley teed off on the ninth hole to start her round and carded a bogey before recording a par at the tenth. Bartley added three more pars on the back nine but also totaled five bogeys to post a 42 on the back nine. Bartley recorded three pars and a birdie on the par five fifth but posted a few bogeys on the front nine and recorded a 43 on the front nine. Bartley tallied an 85 on the day and finished in seventh place.
  • Cassidy Miksich started her round on the back nine and posted three pars on the back nine but multiple bogeys caused her to post a seven over, 44 on the back nine as she headed to the front. Miksich also saw big numbers derail her round on the front nine but posted a birdie on the fifth to card a 49 on the front nine and a 93 on the day to finish in 22nd place.
  • Rylee Stenzel also started her round on the tenth tee and fired in an opening hole birdie on the tight tenth hole but big numbers and bogeys also derailed her first nine holes as she carded a 46 on the back nine. Stenzel carded a few big numbers and bogeys on the front nine to post a 50 on the front and card a 96 on the day to finish in a tie for 29th place.
