Dane Sabarese earned MAC Commonwealth Goalie of the Year honors for the second straight season and junior defenseman
Christian Wright earned Honorable Mention All-MAC Commonwealth honors as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference Thursday morning.
Sabarese earned Goalie of the Year honors for the second straight season and also was named First Team All-MAC Commonwealth. Wright's Honorable Mention selection was the second All-MAC Commonwealth selection of his career after a second team selection last season.
Sabarese recorded 199 saves in his senior campaign and finished his career as the all-time saves leader in Alvernia men's lacrosse history with 854. Sabarese's 199 saves was the fourth most in the MAC Commonwealth but his .561 save percentage was the second best in the conference. Sabarese also recorded 12.44 saves per game, which was the third best average in the Commonwealth and he also picked up 40 ground balls in 2025. This was Sabarese's third All-MAC Commonwealth selection and was an honorable mention goalie in 2023 and first team in 2024.
Wright led the Golden Wolves in caused turnovers in 2025 with 27 and also picked up 74 ground balls which was second to Alvernia's primary faceoff taker, Jack Kenney. Wright's 74 ground balls ranked him in a tie for seventh in the MAC Commonwealth and all six players that picked up more ground balls than Wright in the Commonwealth were all faceoff takers for their respective teams. Wright also caused 27 turnovers in 2025, and he picked up 1.69 ground balls per game, both of which were the fourth most in the conference.
