Five Women’s Golfers Earn Academic All-MAC Honors

Reading, Pa. (July 10, 2025) - A total of five Alvernia Women's Golf student-athletes earned Academic All-MAC honors for their performances on the course and in the classroom during the 2024-25 season, as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference on Thursday.

Emmerson Bartley, McKylie Boreman, Katie Lapinsky, Cassidy Miksich, and Rylee Stenzel earned the honor. They account for five of the ten women's golfers selected for Academic All-MAC honors. All five individuals led Alvernia to a repeat MAC Women's Golf title and NCAA Division III Championship appearance.

The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote for the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Bartley, a sophomore business management major, earned Second Team All-MAC honors with a ninth place finish at the MAC Championship. Bartley played in 21 rounds and 12 events this season. She finished the year with an 81.86 scoring average and had a low round of 74. Bartley had one low-medalist honor this season, two top-three finishes, and eight top-ten finishes. This is her first Academic All-MAC honor.

Boreman, who just graduated with her Master's in Occupational Therapy, was a WGCA All-Region honoree and the 2025 MAC Women's Golf Senior-Scholar athlete. Boreman took First Team All-MAC honors with a fifth place finish at the MAC Championship. Boreman played in 24 rounds and 14 events this season. She finished the year with a 76.37 scoring average and a low round of 69. She had eight low-medalist honors, nine top-three finishes, and 13 top-ten finishes. This is her fifth Academic All-MAC honor.

Lapinsky, who just graduated with degrees in Political Science and Accounting, took First Team All-MAC honors with a third place finish at the MAC Championship. Lapinsky played in 24 rounds and 14 events this season. She finished the year with a 79.54 scoring average and had a low round of 70.  She finished the season with seven top-three finishes and 12 top-ten finishes. This is her fourth Academic All-MAC honor.

Miksich, a sophomore majoring in occupational therapy, earned Second Team All-MAC honors with a sixth place finish at the MAC Championship. Miksich played in 21 rounds and 13 events this season. She finished the year with an 82.28 scoring average, a low round of 76, and recorded the first ace in program history back in the fall. Miksich finished the season with one top-three finish and eight top-ten finishes. This is Miksich's second Academic All-MAC honor.

Stenzel, a junior majoring in criminal justice and psychology, earned Second Team All-MAC honors with a tenth place finish at the MAC Championship. Stenzel played in 22 rounds and 13 events this season. She finished the year with an 86.4 scoring average and had a low round of 80. Stenzel had three top-ten finishes on the year. This is her third Academic All-MAC honor.
