Alvernia Takes on PLEX Shootout

Reading, Pa. (Jan. 31, 2026) - Alvernia Women's Track and Field closed out January at home, competing in the PLEX Shootout on Saturday at Alvernia's Tom and Helen Flynn PLEX.

Alvernia finished the day with two top-ten finishes, three new personal-records, and one tied personal-record.

Brooke Hall led Alvernia with two new personal-records on the day. Hall set a new PR in the 200m, breaking the 30-second threshold with a time of 29.88. Hall also set a new PR in the 60m hurdles with a 10.90 second finish.
Paige Jerrahian and Mylina Castillo were Alvernia's top finishers of the day. Both took fourth place in their respective events, with Jerrahian taking fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:28.15, and Castillo taking fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.70 meters.

Samantha Wallace set a new personal-record in the 200m, breaking 30 seconds for the first time this season with a time of 29.73 seconds. Giavanni Gibson tied her PR in the high jump with a mark of 1.35 meters to take 13th place, and Angelise Rodriguez finished just ahead of Gibson with an 11th place finish on a mark of 1.40 meters.

Alvernia is back in action at the Fastrack National Invitational in New York on Friday.
