Rounding out the scoring was Nico Delgiorno, who tacked on a goal and an assist.

The Crusaders were kept at bay most of the night by PSU Brandywine goaltender Andrew Hieber. Hieber, facing 52 shots, was solid on close range shots and odd man Alvernia scoring opportunity, stoning half a dozen break aways from the Crusaders' most talented goal scorers. Alvernia's forwards refused to be denied, and finally broke past Hieber in the third period, netting four additional goals.

Alvernia goalie James Bangar stopped 24 shots, only surrendering a late goal in the last ten minutes. Bangar was highly effective in the second period, preserving the 1-0 Crusader lead through some tight moments.

In Sunday's DVCHC matchup, the Crusaders took on #13 Neumann.

Alvernia scored bookend goals, scoring twenty eight seconds into the opening period and with fifty five seconds in left in the third period for a thrilling 6-5 win.

Nico Delgiorno tallied the game winner in the final minute of regulation slipping behind the defense with a explosive burst of speed creating a break away goal. Delgiorno picked up a hat trick on the night, including a second period goal to give Alvernia the 3-2 advantage. McKelvie lead the Crusaders in assists, picking up three and netting a goal on the night. Dustin Stuck and Ian Meers both ripped a goal for Alvernia with Stuck also gaining two assists.
