Alvernia Earns Three Golds In First PLEX Meet

Fegely Claims Long And Triple Jump

Reading, Pa. (Dec. 7, 2019) - Alvernia University earned three wins at the first ever event hosted at The Tom and Helen Flynn Health and Wellness Complex Saturday on campus at Alvernia.

On the men's side, Alvernia won the 4x200m relay by four seconds over King's College.  Jack Short, Bentley Desir, Avery Lawrence, and Otis Harold, Jr. completed the race in 1:34.20.

The Wolves also got a pair of wins from Ivan Fegely in both the long and triple jump.

Alvernia hit 13 MAC qualifier numbers on Saturday, including Adam Loehr's personal best in the 60m hurdles, and Jason Scott's personal best in both the shot put and weight throw.

Alvernia will host the MAC Indoor Championships in late February at the Flynn PLEX.
