Trip Freitag were named Alvernia Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of April 12 - April 19, 2026.
Spielman fired a career-low round of 71 to earn her first career low medalist honor at the MAC Preview on Wednesday. Spielman's 71 was a career low, and bettered her previous career low by 11 strokes. She carded seven birdies on the day. It marked Alvernia's lowest single round score in nearly two years.
Trip Freitag posted two top-ten finishes on Saturday at the Moravian Coach P Invitational. Freitag took second in the javelin with a program record throw of 59.47 meters. That throw is 25th in the country and fourth in the MAC. He then took tenth in the discus with a personal record mark of 42.44 meters. Freitag also competed in the long jump and hit a mark of 6.06 meters.
Women's Golf is back in action on May 2nd and 3rd for the 2026 Women's Golf Championship. Track and Field returns to action this Friday and Saturday at the Shippensburg Paul Kaiser Classic.
