Mohnton, Pa. (April 20, 2021) - Alvernia's Jack Lynam finished with a 1-over round of 72 to finish in second place and lead Alvernia to a fourth place finish with a team score of 304 at Alvernia's home invitational at LedgeRock Golf Club on Tuesday.

Lynam birdied three of his first four holes of the day to go 3-under through four. He gave on back on the par-4 5th, but finished out his front nine with four straight pars to go 2-under through the front nine. Lynam lost a bit of momentum as he opened the back nine with two bogies before running off three straight pars on 12, 13, and 14. He bogied 15, but finished the tough stretch of 16 through 18 at even par to lock in his 1-over round of 72.

Kyung Chung finished two back of Lynam with a round of 74 for a sixth place finish overall. Chung started off with two bogies, but got a stroke back on the par-4 3rd with a birdie. He pared the fourth and then went bogey-birdie-bogey-birdie on holes four-eight before rounding out the front nine with a par. He added two more birdies on the back nine, along with three pars and four bogies for his round of 74.

Luke Fagley and Joe Polidoro both finished with rounds of 79 to finish t-26th.  Each finished their round with one birdie on their cards.

Jake Duffy played as Alvernia's fifth with a round of 90.

Alvernia returns to action on Saturday and Sunday for the 2021 MAC Commonwealth Championships at Iron Valley Golf Club.
